Auto Insurance Quote and Auto Insurance Quotes

Auto insurance
quotes
are a free service offered by insurance agencies to
consumers who are in the market for new insurance. When you call
an agency to obtain an auto insurance quote, you will be asked
the driving record of the primary driver, the age of the
vehicle, how many miles the vehicle is driven to and from work,
and the amount of coverage you would like on the vehicle. An
auto insurance quote only takes a few moments. There are some
interesting facts about the pricing of auto insurance quotes. If
you would like an auto insurance quote, and your current
insurance carrier has dropped you, the amount of your quote will
be dramatically increased. If you want to insure an underage
driver, your auto insurance quote will increase.

Obviously, the amount of coverage of the vehicle impacts the
price of auto insurance quotes. Collision is almost always the
most costly part of insurance, but in most cases it is a
requirement, and even if it is not required, it is a wise
investment. The price of auto insurance quotes change from state
to state, as there are different coverage requirements in each
state. There is also an increased likelihood of accidents in
certain parts of the country, so if you are trying to get an
auto insurance quote for vehicles registered in one of these
high-risk parts of the country, the price of your quote will be
high.

Auto insurance quotes can be accessed for free not only from an
insurance agent over the phone, but also online. There is no
obligation to purchase insurance if you get a free auto
insurance quote
online, so this service may be more
convenient for you than calling an agent. You can use the online
auto insurance quote two ways: you can check the rates of your
current insurance against other insurers rates, or you can
change the amount of your coverage and see how that changes the
cost of your insurance. Auto insurance quotes can be found on
the websites of insurers or on the websites of underwriters
where one company is allowed to provide auto insurance quotes
for more than one insurer. Research is always good, so if you
are looking for an auto insurance quote, check out the free auto
insurance quotes online before calling a local agent. This way
you can be more informed of all the options when you speak to
him. “And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom
concerning all things that are done under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes
1:13)

How to Buy Cheap Auto Insurance Online and Save a Bundle

Where to Buy Cheap Auto Insurance Online

The best way to get the best price for anything is to comparison shop, and it’s especially true when you’re trying to buy cheap auto insurance online.

In the good ol’ days, before the Internet, you had to spend hours on the telephone answering hundreds of questions just to get a handful of car insurance quotes. And then you had to decipher those quotes to make sure you were comparing apples to apples.

Now, it only takes a few minutes online in the privacy of your home to get a number of quotes so you can compare rates and get a cheap auto insurance quote.

There are a number of comparison sites that will give you rate quotes from top-rated insurance companies (see links below). When you go to one of these sites you’ll be asked some questions to determine what type of policy you need. Then you can decide which quote is best for you.

It’s quick, it’s easy, and best of all, it’s free.

Other Money-Saving Tips

* Before you visit a car insurance comparison site, have your policy handy so you can refer to it for some of the questions you’ll have to answer.

* Consider raising your deductible. This alone can save you up to 30% on your auto insurance premiums.

* If you drive an older model car, consider dropping your collision coverage. Collision coverage can cost upwards of $450 a year and may be more than the cost of repairing your car.

* Drop your coverage for medical payments if you already have medical insurance that covers you.

* Don’t just compare rates, compare ratings. You want to get the cheapest rate with the highest-rated company.

Finding Cheap Auto Insurance In California

The state of California is known for its high prices. The cost of living in general is much higher than the cost of living in many other locations. California also requires relatively high levels of auto insurance coverage to be carried, resulting in extremely high insurance premiums. While car insurance rates will always be higher in California than in many other areas, a bit of persistence can result in a significant savings.

If you are looking for car insurance in California, be sure to look for and follow general money-saving suggestions on the internet and in consumer magazines. Be sure to shop around carefully as well, as insurance rates may vary immensely from one provider to the next. California insurance companies are permitted to charge based on how much they have paid out in general. Therefore, you may find yourself penalized for someone else’s accidents.

Make sure that you are aware of the current California state minimum requirements for insurance coverage levels. Many companies have their own in-house minimums which may be much higher. If you are insuring an old low-value car, you may not need insurance beyond the state requirements, so insist that the company give you this quote. Additional coverage may be necessary depending on your financial resources and whether your car is financed.

Discounts are available for groups ranging from retirees to full time students. The best bonuses go to Safe Drivers. Maintaining a clean driving record is the number one thing that you can do to keep your rates as low as possible. Ask your insurance agent whether you qualify for any additional bonuses.

Buy your insurance online. Companies such as esurance.com offer comparison shopping between many different policies. Their rates are often lower because there is no middleman insurance agent drawing a commission. Be sure that you are comparing identical plans in terms of deductible, coverage and added insurance products.

If you have the financial resources, consider raising your deductible. Good drivers who are unlikely to have an accident can save significantly on their monthly payments simply by raising their deductibles. Just keep in mind that you will need to be able to afford the deductible if something does happen.

Remember that cars are classified into groups, and certain groups are more expensive to insure. Your driving record will also play a part. Young drivers will pay more to insure sports cars than other types of cars and more to insure sports cars than will older drivers with good records. Check into insurance rates for a car you are considering.

While car insurance rates remain high in California and truly cheap car insurance may not exist, it is possible to find insurance that is not outlandishly expensive. Shop around, look for discounts, raise your deductible and drop unneeded coverages. In this way you can find insurance that will cover your needs without breaking your monthly budget.

Filing Auto Insurance Claims

The auto insurance policy that you have purchased is useful only if you are familiar with the auto insurance claims. Filing an auto insurance claim is essential to cover the financial loses caused by accident, theft, vandalism, etc. People who are completely familiar with the auto insurance claims can deal with such situations in a better way. Here are some points that are essential to be considered while filing an auto insurance claim:

Find out the level of damage or injuries and call the police: Determine the extent of damage done to your car and see if anyone needs medical attention. It is recommended to call the police directly even if it is a minor accident as you would need a police report while filing the auto insurance claim.

Get information of the other driver involved in the accident: It is very important to get license plate number, contact information, vehicle identification number, and auto insurance information of the other person involved in the accident. Also give the same information of yours to the other driver. You can obtain the information like vehicle identification number, insurers’ telephone numbers, etc. from your insurance identification card.

Look for witnesses and get their contact information: If there are any witnesses to the accident, try to obtain the names and phone numbers of those who are interested in telling what they saw. Your insurance company may ask for witness statements and they can prove to be very helpful to your auto insurance claim.

Inform your insurance agent about the accident: Inform your insurance agent about the accident as soon as possible. If possible, call your agent when you are with police as the police officer can provide more accurate information to your insurance company. This step can help you in saving additional time and hassles when you file your auto insurance claim later on.

File under another party’s insurance provider: If the accident did not happen because of your mistake, you can ask either your insurance company or other driver’s insurance company to recover the damage done to your car.

Fleet Insurance: Courier Insurance on Steroids

I know for sure that all of you operating courier services know exactly how important it is to have a good courier insurance coverage. It is also quite simple to find cheap courier insurance with good coverage to fulfill your needs. However, some still think of courier insurance as expensive, especially because they have to buy them at the very beginning of their courier business. It is definitely considered to be a cost instead of an investment, when it should be considered otherwise. Courier insurance will provide coverage not only for your car, but also for your customers’ goods being shipped through you. Imagine how hard and costly it is to deal with all your customers’ claims should something happen to one (or even some) of your armada. The good news is, courier insurance providers are offering competitive discounts and great rates for those of you who are looking for cheap courier insurance.

You need to insure all your vehicles. So what good can discounts do when there are plenty vehicles to be insured? Well, here comes the good news. Most of you probably do not realise about the availability of fleet insurance. Fleet insurance is basically several courier insurances combined into one insurance policy. Yes, this way, you can purchase courier insurance for all your vehicles and still get cheap courier insurance rates. The key to getting a great deal whenever you are buying courier insurance, or in this case fleet insurance, is to gain as much knowledge as possible about as many offers available as possible. Therefore, you will be in a better bargaining position and will more likely get great insurance rates.

Fleet insurance offers the same advantages as other bundled products. You will be able to buy bulk courier insurance policies at a reasonably low price. Make sure you fully understand the insurance policy offered by your insurance agent before jumping to any conclusions. It is the key to getting maximum protection at a reasonable price as well. If you don’t understand part of the insurance policy, never hesitate to ask. Interpreting the policy based on limited understanding will get you into trouble in the future. Fleet insurance should provide the same coverage as regular courier insurance, but it is designed to provide coverage for more than one vehicles.

Fleet insurance providers also give you the chance to purchase a custom-made courier insurance policy based on your courier business needs. You can reduce the cost of getting well-made courier insurance by adjusting the fleet insurance policy based on your courier business’s needs. Pay close attention to courier van or vehicle insurance, goods in transit insurance and public liability insurance policies; make sure they are protective enough to ensure smooth operation of your business.

Again, finding cheap courier insurance is really not as hard as it looks. All you have to do is take your time and do your homework. Search around for offers, and compare them closely before making any decision. Fleet insurance might be an option for those of you running a courier business with a lot of vehicles.

How to Find the Best Auto Insurance Rate With the Best Company

Most of us are looking for the best auto insurance rates with a top rated insurance company. But how do you find it without spending half your life visiting insurance offices or talking to agents. Here’s a quick and easy way …

How do I get the best auto insurance rate?

As a former insurance agent I get asked this question all the time, and each time my answer is the same: “Shop and compare.”

The only way to know if you’re getting the best car insurance rate for your particular situation is to comparison shop, and the best way to do that is to fire up your computer and shop online.

There are a number of sites where you can get auto insurance rates from A-rated companies, and it only takes a couple of minutes to get multiple quotes from a number of top companies so you can compare rates. (See links below.)

When you go to one of those sites you’ll be asked a series of questions in order to tailor the quotes to your particular situation. Some things you want to consider in order to get the best auto insurance rate are:

* Dropping your collision and comprehensive coverage – If you have a older car that’s not worth a lot, you may want to drop your collision and comprehensive coverage. A good rule of thumb is if your annual premium for your collision and comprehensive insurance exceeds 10% of your car’s value, consider dropping them.

* Raising your deductible – If you make a lot of small insurance claims, your insurance company may cancel your insurance. So raising your deductible by a couple of hundred dollars will not only save you hundreds of dollars a year on your insurance premium, it may also save you from having your insurance canceled.

* Adding security devices – Insurance companies will give you discounts for installing anti-theft devices and auto alarms. Installing these devices not only saves you money, it will give you peace of mind knowing that your car is less likely to be stolen.

How do I know the company I pick is a good company?

Insurance companies are rated by various independent organizations like A.M. Best, Standard and Poor’s, and Moodys. Unfortunately you have to subscribe to their service to get their information, and they only rate companies primarily on financial criteria and not customer experience.

If you want to get the inside scoop to find out which companies have the best service and pay insurance claims the quickest, surf over to epinions.com. Here you’ll get consumer ratings and reviews from actual customers who’ve used a company’s services. Believe me, it can be a real eye opener.

Cost for car insurance for a teenager?

I’m 17 right now and don’t really need a car (I do have a license though). When I’m 18 I will NEED the car to commute to and from college. How much is it going to cost to get insured – possibly to be added to a parent’s plan?

I’ve taken driver’s ed, have a high gpa… what else can I do to lower the cost?

PS. I’ll probably be driving a 1995 Geo Metro.
I don’t have insurance now.
What’s full coverage? I’ll need it for commuting every day of the week, so I imagine that I’ll need the extensive coverage.

Can anyone offer me a dollar estimate?

The minimum insurance you’ll need is liability. Insurance rates depend upon a multitude of factors.

ZIP code (where you live)
Amount of liability coverage you want
Amount of collision and comprehensive coverage you want
Amount of deductible
Marital status
Credit rating
Type of car
Student status & grades
Your age
Driving history
Citations in the past 3 years
Work history
How car is used – to & from work or do you use it in your work.
Estimated number of miles driven per year
Distance from residence to work/schol
…and about 15 other factors

Full coverage is liability & collision & comprehensive & under insured motorist & un-insured motorist.

Collision and comprehensive is only required by your lender if you finance the car. It’s optional if you want to bear the risk of losing your car due to an accident, theft or fire. If the car has little value, then you may not want Col/Comp coverage as the cost would be more that the car is worth.

Only an insurance agent can give you a dollar estimate that’s worth anything. Contact several. Keep in mind, cheap insurance comes with a lot of restrictions that can result in denied or limited coverage. Examples may be an accident as a result of a DUI, delayed reporting of the accident, etc. Read the policy before buying.

Auto Insurance Discounts – Common Reductions

Auto insurance rates are high enough, there’s no sense in paying more for your premiums than you have to. Most of the nation’s top insurance companies offer a multitude of discounts for customers. The trick is letting your agent know when you qualify. Used in combination, many of these discount programs can be used to cut your annual premiums from one-third to as much as half the original cost.

Here are just a few of the most common discounts offered by more than 300 auto insurers today:

Multiple Vehicle Discount. This rate-cut is offered to consumers insuring more than one vehicle. This applies to cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV’s, trailers and some boats. See your agent for details.

Multiple Driver Discount. Insurers realize that two people can’t drive the same car at the same time, so they often offer multi-driver discounts to allow customers with more than one car per driver in the household to only pay for the cars being driven, and the drivers in them.

Multi-Policy Discount. This is a great way to save on all of your insurance needs. Choose a company that discounts more than one policy, then combine your homeowners’ auto, disability, life and even health insurance into one insurance portfolio. Some companies will also count financial savings plans such as 401K’s Roth IRA’s, money markets savings plans and college funds as additional policies to ensure the discount.

Low Mileage Discount. The less your car is on the road, the less chance it has of being involved in an accident. If you commute locally, or have a second car that is rarely used, let your insurance agent know. The lower the mileage, the lower the insurance premium.

New Vehicle Safety Discount. Offered to owners of new vehicles that contain certain types of safety features such as side passenger airbags, etc.

Anti-Theft Device Discount. Be sure to let the insurance agent know if you have any type of anti-theft device in your car. It too is eligible for a special discount.

Good Student Discount. Student rates can be quite high, especially for male drivers. But, some insurers are now recognizing that honor students may be more careful drivers, and are now rewarding good grades with cheaper premium rates. This may apply to both high school and college drivers.

Accident Free Discount. Almost every major insurer these days offer deep discounts, depending on how long a driver has gone without being involved in an accident.

Defensive Driving Discount. Some insurance companies now reward drivers who attend special defensive driving workshops and seminars with either a one time, or ongoing rate cut.

As you can see, there are many discount options for drivers who take the time to look into their company’s policies and apply for the discounts available. While individually, they may not save you much, but used in combination, they can add up to a hefty rate savings.

Austin Auto Insurance – How to Get the Best Deal

Austin auto insurance is an important part of your daily life. It may not seem like more than another monthly payment, but you are putting that policy to use every time you get behind the wheel. Not having car insurance in  can cost much more than a yearly premium if you have an accident or get caught driving without it.

A good policy doesn’t necessarily mean the cheapest policy, but you shouldn’t have to pay more than you can afford for auto insurance. When shopping for quotes through an Austin insurance company, there are some things you can do to get the lowest payments possible.

The first thing to look at when shopping for car insurance is what kind of vehicle you own. An new, expensive and/or sporty car will probably cost more to insure. If your vehicle is on the list of highly stolen cars, expect to pay a higher premium. Your Austin TX insurance agent will be able to tell you if your car is on that list. Also, an older vehicle that has a value of only a few thousand dollars can be inexpensive to insure because you can carry liability only, rather than paying for full coverage.

One thing you shouldn’t do when shopping for auto insurance is to get a policy that leaves you underinsured. Medical costs are getting higher each year, which means if you have an accident you may end up having to pay for what your cheap policy doesn’t cover. Find an Austin insurance company that will work with you to find the best coverage for your needs. If your premiums are still too high, consider driving a different vehicle that requires a lower priced policy.

Combine policies for a discount on your premiums if you have auto insurance coverage with the same company that carries your home and/or health insurance. Most Austin TX insurance companies offer discounts for multiple policies. Another way to get a discount on your Austin auto insurance policy is to have a clean driving record. Accidents and traffic violations can mean higher payments.

Buy from a reputable auto insurance company. Some insurance companies may offer lower monthly payments, but in the event of an accident you may find yourself with very little customer service and a much higher renewal premium.

Shop around for a combination of low rates, quality coverage and good customer service. Not every auto insurance company can offer all three of these important factors. When it comes to insurance in Austin, getting the best coverage comes down to contacting an insurance agent that is willing to work for you to get the coverage you need and a policy you can afford.

How do I know if my auto insurance company is frauding my?

My auto insurance company has been charging me fees, rate increases (originally I was told it would be a decrease!), and a whole other mess with the DMV. I have not had any tickets, accidents, or claims. No one has been able to satisfactorily explain to me why this is happening. How do I now if I have a case with the insurance commission/and or a small claims lawsuit?
My main problem is not the rate increase. The insurance company received my payment on time. But, they did not POST it until a few days later. sometime in this period of a few days, the DMV audited the insurance companies system and decided this was a lapse I guess. I had to give the DMV 500.00 or lose my registration. This was 6 months ago. It took us 4 months to get the insurance agent to tell us what really happend (they are good at the runaround game). They said that they had sent the paperwork to the DMV and that we should be getting our check in 30 days as the insurance compay was at fault. This month my insurace is 100.00 more and I called the DMV and they recieved the paperwork, but not a follow up call they were supposed to get. Since I called them, I personally was able to give the OK to send the packet to the refund department. My insurance company says that the extra 100.00 is for "reinstatement of coverage", coverage I never lost in the first place.

you can visit the company’s official website from where you can know about the insurance procedure / rates etc.

usually the vehicle is insured on the depriciated price and if the same company is continued every year, then they give the no claim bonuses.

There is a unique number called the "Cover Note" number from which you can trakc down your insurance details from the company.

Wish u luck Buddy!!!!

How to Get Cheap Student Auto Insurance

Auto insurance is one of the biggest expenses students face, right up there with tuition and books. In fact, students can pay anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 a year for auto insurance, depending on such factors as their …

* Age

* Gender

* Driving record

* Garage location

Fortunately, students can get cheap auto insurance. How? Read on to find out!

Be a Girl

Okay, you don’t have much control over this, but it’s a fact that insurance costs less for women under age 25 than for men under age 25. Men are statistically more prone to having accidents and therefore their insurance rates are higher.

Live Clean and Drive Safely

Do not drink or take drugs and then drive. A DWI or DUI will drive your insurance premium up dramatically, and keep your rate high for years to come. Also, keep your driving record clean by obeying speed limits and other driving laws.

Keep Up Your Grades

Most insurance companies offer discounts to students who maintain a B average or better. You’ll need to show your insurance agent proof of your grades to get this discount.

Buy a Sensible Car

Your dream car may be a Mustang, a Firebird, or a Camaro, but you’ll pay a lot more for your insurance with these types of “muscle” cars. Opt for a car that’s less expensive to repair and is less tempting for thieves. Also avoid cars with high horsepower, as insurance rates are higher on these cars.

Walk or Bicycle at School

If you can manage without a car while you’re at college, leave your car at home. You can adjust your policy so you’ll still be covered when you’re at home for vacations.

Increase Your Deductible

By increasing your deductible – the amount you pay toward a claim before your insurance company pays – you can save up to 40% on your car insurance premium.

Shop Around

Make sure you’re getting the best price on car insurance by doing some comparison shopping. Go to an insurance comparison website and enter your vehicle, driver, and insurance information. You’ll then receive auto insurance quotes from multiple A-rated companies and you can choose the one with the cheapest rate.

The best comparison sites offer tips on how to save money on your insurance, and even have an insurance expert on call so you can get answers to your insurance questions online or by phone. (See link below.)

Low Cost Homeowners Insurance – How to Get the Best Rate

Looking for low cost homeowners insurance? Want to get the best rate with a top-rated company? Here’s how …

How much homeowners insurance do I need?

You need enough homeowners insurance to cover the cost of rebuilding your home if it’s destroyed. You can determine this cost by calling a builder or a real estate agent to get the local building cost per square foot. Multiply this figure by your home’s square footage to get the amount of structural coverage you need.

In addition to structural coverage you need insurance to replace your personal possessions if they’re damaged or stolen. Most homeowners policies give you coverage for your personal possessions equal to 50% to 70% of the amount of your structural coverage. If your possessions are worth more than that you can ask your insurance agent to add more coverage.

You also need enough insurance to pay for a bodily injury or a property damage lawsuit when you’re found to be at fault. Most homeowners insurance policies provide a minimum of $100,000 worth of liability insurance. But due to the rise in personal injury lawsuits, purchasing at least $300,000 to $500,000 gives you better protection.

Lastly, you need insurance to pay for your living expenses if your home becomes uninhabitable due to a fire, storm, or other disasters. Most policies cover you for an amount equal to 20% of your structural coverage.

Where can I get the best rate with a reliable company?

Because homeowners insurance can vary by $1,000 or more from one company to the next, the first thing you need to do is to comparison shop.

There are insurance comparison websites that give you homeowners insurance quotes from a number of A-rated companies. Get at least three quotes then compare them to get the best one.

Some of these sites even offer a free online chat service and a toll-free telephone service so you can get answers to any insurance questions you may have. (See link below.)

To reduce the cost of your homeowners insurance you can raise your deductible. This is the amount you have to pay before your insurance company will pay a claim. The higher your deductible, the lower your insurance premiums.

Also, ask you agent for every discount you’re entitled to. Most companies give discounts for having both your car and your homeowners insurance with them, for having safety and security features installed in your home, and for a number of other reasons.
